The Painter is a highly sought-after position in Canada. As the Painter, you will be responsible for painting homes, buildings, and other structures according to customer specifications. The main duties of the Painter include preparing surfaces by cleaning them; mixing colors and materials; applying protective coatings; selecting tools; calculating amounts of material needed; and maintaining customer satisfaction. 1. Preparing interior and exterior surfaces for painting including filling, sanding, taping, cleaning, and priming

2. Selecting the correct type of paint and finishes for the job

3. Mixing paints and ensuring there are adequate supplies throughout the project

4. Applying coats of paint to interior or exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers or spray
