2. Their duties involve monitoring activities on the premises, ensuring that access is restricted to authorized personnel only, and protecting property and people against theft or damage.
3. Specific job responsibilities include making rounds of the facility or assigned area, looking out for any suspicious behavior or activities; handling alarms and responding appropriately; observing and documenting suspicious occurrences; writing reports on incidents that occurred while on duty; patrolling assigned areas both inside and outside the building; controlling access at entrances/exits by verifying employees’ credentials or visitors’ identity; admitting only those who have valid authorization to enter the facility; controlling vehicle traffic in/out of premises using gates or other means as necessary.
