Job Description:

A Carpenter is a skilled trade professional who builds, repairs and maintains structures made from wood. Carpenters are in high demand all over Canada, with an increasing number of people looking to employ them for their residential and commercial projects. 

The job description of a Carpenter involves cutting, measuring and installing wooden frameworks, trusses, beams and doors according to the specifications provided by the customer. They are also responsible for creating cabinets, countertops and other furniture pieces as per customer requirements. Along with these tasks they need to ensure that the projects comply with applicable building codes and safety regulations. In addition to this carpenters also have to use power tools like nail guns, saws, drills etc., which require specialized training in order to handle safely.

Responsibilities & Skills:

1. Measure, cut and shape timber, plastic and other materials using hand or power tools.

3. Analyze blueprints or specifications to determine the best methods to construct projects such as furniture pieces or cabinets or install framing components for houses or commercial buildings. 

4. Assemble structures using glue, nails screws and other fasteners as needed.
